Gaining more and more exposure

Good morning everyone!

Wow! That's the only word that I can describe of how i felt this morning. I'm checking my social media accounts, as I must do to stay a face in my line of work, and I saw my name posted on another page. I had no idea who this person was, except that they had a book site stationed in the United Kingdom! At first, I thought it was a friend request, so I go ahead and check it out.

Right next to my name was a link. I click on it and their site opens with the cover of my book being the first thing I saw! I scroll down and I see the blurb and everything is all below. This person, from another country who I never spoke to or wrote to before, has done a spotlight on my book!! That is so awesome!! It was probably from a friends from a friend and so on - but I felt so great!!

My little story that I started years ago is finally making headway and I'm extremely proud!! Thank you all so much for your support and appreciation of my story. This is validation that I am on the right path of being an author!! Stay tuned - there's more to come!!!

THE ANGELITES - TURNING POINT HAS GONE GLOBAL

Hi everyone!!

I just got some news that has made me very excited! Now, for most indie authors this may not be a big deal because they've hustling in this game for a while. But for me, I'm still new to this so any kind of positive reaction is great news.

I checked the reports on how many units I sold and I saw several of my numbers are from other countries! I got downloads from United Kingdom, Japan, Italy, India and Canada! Right now, there are people in other countries, who I never met in my life, reading my book and hopefully enjoying my work!!

Free book or not - that is an awesome feeling! This news is motivation for me to keep on going down this path because it proves that I naturally have a knack in telling great stories. What makes me happier is that this book has only been out for a full day! I still have the rest of the week and the weekend to get more sales! Oh, I just hope this leads to bigger sales when my next book comes!

Its great to know when you set your goal to do something and the hard work starts paying off! Thank you all so much for your support and spread the word. Here's their chance to get a great story for free! And I hope they become fans of this story franchise I'm about to put into action!!

MY TURNING POINT!

It is now the 13th of November and I'm starting to spread the word that my new short story is available for purchase. However, I'd been advertising for weeks that I was going to release it on the 12th (11-12-13) Now I regret setting a date because, as self-published authors know, nothing ever goes perfectly as planned.

First of all, two days before the release date, my story and cover got erased after I decided to clean out my files without making back-ups. You just get to that moment when you have so much on your mind and you just react without planning. I thought I saved backups of everything, but I found out the hard way that I didn't.
So, I spent the latter part of those two days doing everything all over again and uploading it at the last minute. After that, nothing was going my way, like pricing, waiting for approval and other headaches that I don't even want to think about.

Well, after all of that, I'm happy to announce that my book is finally published and I hope everyone will download and read. It's a free download, so there's really no risk, whether they like it or not. One thing this experience has shown me is I need to make better business decisions and plan more carefully. I know these are rookie mistakes, but I won't allow these to become bad habits that'll ultimately result in my failure in the book writing business.

I want to apologize to all of you now and make a promise that I will try to do better business for all of you who are continuing to support me in my new venture in life. You deserve better from me and that's what I want to give, besides kick-ass stories to read and enjoy!!

Ideas

Have you ever had a bunch of ideas come to you at once, but not sure which one to start working on? That's what I'm feeling right now!

I have so many ideas for new stories that I don't know which one to start with first. In fact, I'm not even sure if it should be a short story or novel. What's driving me crazy is that I'm getting scene ideas to write into my story ideas, which makes it even worst for me to make a decision on what to start with. 

This is the time for me to slow down, step back and take a look at what I have on my plate. I have to let the creative juices flow and it'll start to come together. I just can't believe I got these great ideas to work with. And I know it'll work with people if I'm ever given the chance to publish them or post it on my site because its a fresh twist that no one has done yet. I think in a world like today when you have 12,000 remakes and do-overs that we all rejoice at something new and different.

I can't wait to show you my ideas and share my new stories with you. I just hope you'll love reading it just as much as I love writing and creating it! Off to work!

Its a 5-page thriller about a boy facing five of the most feared bullies in school. His Mom is coming to pick him up in fifteen minutes! Will he run or fight? Find out!

FYI - to everyone who has read and enjoyed The Angelites - Book One - I just want to thank everyone from the bottom on my heart for supporting my first project! I'll never forget it! And, I's also like to say that Book Two is currently in the works. Its taking a little longer because, besides having two babies to take care of, I've been doing massive rewrites in hopes in making this story just as dynamic and fun as the first. I hope to have it out in time for the holidays, but we shall see

Pressure

Hello bloggers, writers and artists!

I'm sure most of you have been in this position before, but tomorrow is my big debut, the release of my first novel, and everything is going wrong! I had it picture perfect, at least I thought I did. Now I'm at a spot where I need to make some rewrites and do more technical work without a whole lot of time to it.

Already I don't think the paperbacks won't be available for a few days. I have to make sure that at least the ebook is ready to go or else ill be letting a whole lot of people down, including myself. Wish me luck because I'm going to need it, along with God's mercy.

Moment to breathe

Whew! After working day and night of conjuring ideas to promote my book, taking care of my kids and doing my day job, tonight I'm leaving my work at home and my family and I are going to my in-laws house to have some fun, celebrating my sister's birthday.

It's nice to just recharge while having extra sets of hands to help with the kids. I look forward to just eating cake, keeping my feet up and watch replays of The Walking Dead and The Following! Have a great night my friends!

I got about 12 days until my first ever novel is published. It's called The Angelites - Book One and already it got a great review from Yah Gotta read This!

I've been so excited that I've been posting pics and blogs talking about it, hoping to gain circulation as much as possible. I know it's a long shot because I'm new in the space, but if I can reach a few people then I've done my job.
